All the animals of the forest gathered to watch the race that would be extremely fast. The fox, the smartest animal in the forest, acted as the judge and gave the signal. At that moment, the hare jumped quickly and left the tortoise far behind. It was all too predictable.
The tortoise did not give up and began to walk step by step, slowly, with determination. The hare saw that the victory was too quick and easy, so his arrogance played a double role. He decided to stop, rest, and take a little break under a tree. "I can rest a little, I have a lot of time," he thought. "I will have time to take a short nap and beat the tortoise easily."
Meanwhile, the tortoise continued on his way, determined to save his honor and show that despite everything, he was not arrogant or conceited and that his qualities were no less important than those of the hare.
